Volunteers are the difference between good events and great events. From organized, multi-day events like Akron Art Expo, OHSAA State Softball Championships & Akron Parks Week to volunteering hours each week at your local community center to pick up trash or weed the gardens, our volunteers make a difference. Not only do we appreciate every hour of service that is given to Akron Recreation & Parks, but it is one more opportunity to make our community a better, more beautiful place to thrive.

Volunteers
This event will take place July 2024 at Hardesty Park in West Akron. Volunteers assist with jobs such as Artist check-in, booth sitting, set-up, and tear-down.

The Girls State Softball Championships will be held at Firestone Stadium June 2024. Various volunteer opportunities will be available for the three day event. Please contact Rachel Roukey for volunteer opportunities.
