Riding a bicycle is a fun, healthy, low impact form of exercise that people of all ages can do! With the efforts of making Akron a bike friendly city, we would like to introduce the Leisure Riders. Join a Recreation & Parks staff person on a weekend bike ride throughout various trails and paths in Akron. Each outing is a pre-determined route that will allow you the opportunity to ride with old friends or create new riding buddies.
Outings take place between May-September and are weather permitting. Bring your own bicycle!
Next ride will take place in 2024.
Please continue to check back for additional details on upcoming rides.
The “Let’s Do” series offers monthly opportunities to jump on the Recreation bus and explore different avenues of greater Akron. Sometimes we shop, sometimes we eat, and sometimes we just hang out with an old friend or connect with a new friend!
Pick-up and departure locations will vary from each community center and pre-registration is necessary. Space is limited.
Cost ranges from $0-$5 per trip.
