Esports and electronic gaming are among the fastest growing and most popular sports experiences in the world. This kind of cooperative, collaborative, and competitive gaming gives children the chance to socialize, develop their communication skills, and work together to solve problems.  


Camp Minecraft

Camp Minecraft is held during Akron Public School’s Spring and Winter break. 

After introductory activities on gaming, students will work individually in the Minecraft world to collect materials needed to build a structure in the game. Each student will be tasked with collecting a given material. By the conclusion of the week, campers will be asked to work together in a shared Minecraft board to collaboratively construct a structure, with each individual supplying their given material.  

Campers will be provided with lunch each day of camp.
