Isn't it a beautiful night in downtown Akron?!
Lock 3 is located next to the Akron Civic Theatre on Main street downtown and is Akron's home for summer and winter family-fun entertainment.
Since it's opening in 2003, Lock 3 has hosted more than 2 million visitors. From May through September, Lock 3 features weekend concerts under the open skies, Akron's biggest festivals, a weekly farmers market, a large number of community events and hosts the City of Akron's official 4th of July fireworks display.
Winter is a blast at Lock 3, with a host of attractions including Ohio's largest seasonal outdoor ice skating rink, Reindeer Run sledding hill, Polar Putt Putt, Polar Cub Rink and more. Winter at Lock 3 kicks off every year with the Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony exploding the night sky with fireworks.

Community Events and other activities
Lock 3 is home to many local community events including the Color Vibe and food truck events. Local non-profit organizations apply to host a 5K, yoga session, or other unique activity in the heart of downtown Akron.
Follow the Towpath north and you will walk right in to Lock 4, our hidden gem of downtown. Lock 4 is host to Wednesday night jazz concerts, thirdThursday concerts and many other smaller intimate activities. Recently transformed, Lock 4 lights up at night and offers a magical atmosphere for all to experience.
