- All fires shall be contained within a fire place, fire pit, burn table, grill or other device that is designed to contain the fire.
- Only the burning charcoal, clean wood, liquefied petroleum gas, or natural gas shall be used as fuel. No scrap materials, rubbish or yard waste may be burned.
- All fires be kept a minimum of 15 feet from all structures (balconies, porches and decks connected to the house are deemed part of the structure )
- All extra fuel must be kept a minimum 10 feet from the fire.
- Never use gasoline, kerosene, or other flammable liquids to start fires.
- The maximum size of the fire shall be no more than 20 square feet (5 ft. diameter, or 4 ft. by 5 ft. rectangular). Larger fires require a Special burning permit.
- Adults must always stay alert and never leave the fire unattended.
- Children and pets must be kept at a safe distant from the fire.
- A dedicated water source for extinguishment must be maintained within 50 feet of the fire.
- Fires shall not be a hazard to people, property, or standing vegetation.
- We highly recommended you wetting down the surrounding area prior to burning.
- All fires should be completely extinguished when finished.
ANY FIRE THAT IS OBJECTIONABLE DUE TO SMOKE OR ODORS IS A NUISANCE FIRE AND SHALL BE EXTINGUISHED
