Annie McFadden brings 15 plus years of experience in project management, marketing and communications.

She started her career in 2004 at the Summit County Board of Elections as a Ballot Layout Manager, playing an integral role in the switch of Summit County’s voting system from punch cards to a Precinct Count Optical Scan System in 2006.

She has served in numerous leadership roles in our local community, acting as Campaign Manager for the 2012 Summit County Children Services levy, the 2013 Summit County ADM Board levy, the 2015 Akron Summit County Public Library levy and  Dan Horrigan’s Mayoral Campaign for the City of Akron.

Prior to creating her own campaign management firm, 5eleven Consulting, McFadden was an Account Manger at TRIAD Communications, Inc., an ad agency in Cuyahoga Falls, where she managed both local and international accounts.

As Deputy Mayor for Administration and Chief of Staff, McFadden oversees all functions of the Mayor's Office, manages messaging and communications for the City, and oversees strategic initiatives and special projects out of the Mayor’s Office including financial empowerment, the 2020 Census, and Age-Friendly Akron.

She is a native of Akron and a graduate of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. McFadden holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies & Advertising from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN.
