No Delay in Curb Service

Akron, Ohio, November 7, 2022 — All municipal offices will be closed on Friday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

There will be no delay in curb service and trash/recycle collections will continue as usual for the week of November 7. To get reminders and alerts about your household’s curb service schedule, please download the Akron Recycles app free on Android or Apple devices.

“Veterans Day provides us an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of the brave men and women who answered the call to serve our country,” said Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan. “I want to thank all U.S. military veterans for their service which ensures we live in freedom and peace. This Veterans Day, we renew our commitment to the veterans in our community to provide the support and resources they deserve 365 days a year.”
