Akron, Ohio, August 31, 2017 – As part of the Old Main Sewer Separation (Rack 21) project and part of the Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction 2016 project, Kenmore Construction, H.R. Gray, H.M. Miller and the City of Akron will be closing N. High St. between ML King Jr. Blvd and E. Market St. on Tuesday, September 5.
Traffic will be detoured using ML King Jr. Blvd., N. Main St. and E. Market St.
The work within these limits is currently planned to be completed by Friday, September 15. In an effort to minimize both costs and inconvenience to those who may be visiting businesses within the closure zone, the City of Akron has distributed free parking validation stickers (for the High/Market parking deck) to those businesses. Visitors can park in the parking deck, and then request a validation sticker from the business prior to leaving the parking deck.
