            Over twenty of the area’s best restaurants will offer food samples during the Taste of Akron to give you a fantastic lineup of the city’s best eats!  Patrons can enjoy samples of appetizers, entrées, and desserts, while listening to the popular local band, Runaway Lucy.  Food samples will be available for 1, 2, or 3 tickets.  Tickets are available for $2.00 each.  Food tickets sales will begin at 6:00 pm.  Parking and admission are free.  A free shuttle service will be available from the WAKR/WONE/WQMX east side parking lot at 1795 West Market Street.  Cash, VISA and MasterCard accepted.  The Taste of Akron is sponsored by American Wood Reface.

  Taste of Akron Take Two

  Friday, July 26th, 6:00 – 10:00 pm

   

                   Your favorite food sampling event is now split over two fun evenings!  Friday evening will feature entertainment by the jazz fusion band Copali and local food trucks that will offer samples for 1, 2, or 3 tickets.  Tickets are available for $2.00 each.  Food ticket sales will begin at 6:00 pm.  Parking and admission are free.  A free shuttle service will be available from the WAKR/WONE/

  WQMX east side parking lot at 1795 West Market Street.  Enjoy a variety of local craft beer and wine samples in our Beer & Wine Tasting Tent from 6:30pm – 9:30pm.  Guests will receive a tasting cup and ten drink tickets for a separate $20 entry fee.  Cash, VISA and MasterCard accepted.

40^th Annual Akron Arts Expo

Saturday, July 27th, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Sunday, July 28th, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

            The Akron Arts Expo celebrates the creativity of over 140 juried exhibitors from across the country.  The Akron Arts Expo is a free, family-friendly weekend event and draws over 20,000 patrons to the Akron area.  It features live entertainment throughout the weekend featuring popular local musicians.  A free shuttle service will be available from the WAKR/WONE/WQMX east side parking lot at 1795 West Market Street.  Updates on all Akron Arts Expo activities will be available throughout the weekend thanks to media sponsor WAKR/WONE/WQMX. 

      The interactive Children’s Tent will feature local organizations on Saturday including Summit County Public Library, Akron Children’s Museum, The Akron Zoo, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Little Van Gogh Art Studio and Akron Fossils and Science Center providing fun and interactive activities for kids.  On Sunday kids can visit with the Summit County Public Library, The Akron Zoo and make their mark by coloring a patch for a paper patchwork quilt project with the Akron Recreation & Parks Department. 

      Have a favorite artist exhibiting at the show?  Visit our Silent Auction inside the Expo Tent throughout the weekend to bid on one of their items.  Artwork from all of the Akron Arts Expo artists will be showcased during our Silent Auction.  Auction closing times are 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

      There will be Sip & Paint under the Expo Tent on Saturday and Sunday at 12:30pm.  Take a painting class while enjoying a refreshing glass of wine.  Patrons will take home their masterpiece along with a complimentary wine glass for just $25.
