
CITY OF AKRON HOSTS FAMILY DAY AT DERBY DOWNS JUNE 22 - 10 AM to 2 PM

Akron, Ohio, June 17, 2016 – The City of Akron Recreation Bureau is hosting Family Day at Derby Downs on Wednesday, June 22 at 789 Derby Downs Drive. Admission is $10 for children and adults.
The Recreation Bureau is offering a day of intergenerational racing that includes all members of the family – parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Family members will have the opportunity to race each other down the hill in a soapbox derby car.
Individuals of all ages are welcome. Children must be 7 years-old, 46” tall and able to operate a derby car on their own. Ticket holders will receive lunch, a ride down the hill, and entertainment during the event.
