“Across the country, and certainly here in Akron, we witness every day how the efforts of our workers have made our neighborhoods stronger and more prosperous. This past year and a half especially has demonstrated how resilient our labor force is as they were put under additional stressors and pressure from the pandemic. As you celebrate the holiday, please take pause to pay tribute to the contributions of all those whose labor built our communities and continues to help us thrive.” - Mayor Dan Horrigan
