
Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council Hosting Teen Leadership Workshop

Akron, Ohio, June 29, 2022 — The Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council (MYLC), managed by the City of Akron’s Department of Human Resources is hosting a Teen Leadership Workshop, on Wednesday, August 3 for area students entering 9th- 11th grade in the fall. This daylong workshop is designed to prepare participants for a dynamic 2022-2023 school year.
This will be an interactive leadership workshop geared towards giving teens the tools to help lead their peers and communities. Students will learn how to be a team leader, how to speak with confidence, and engage in fun activities with The University of Akron Student Union staff.
This MYLC Teen Leadership Workshop will challenge teen participants and encourage them to exceed their own expectations. The workshop will be held at the University of Akron Student Union from 8 am to 4:30 pm and the cost is FREE; limited to 120 participants.
