Winterfest Fun Continues at Lock 3 with Late Night Skates and Super Hero & Princess Weekend!

Akron, Ohio, January 20, 2017 – “We are proud to offer activities for all ages at Lock 3 throughout the winter,” Mayor Dan Horrigan said. A few of the upcoming events include:

Late Skate College Nite presented by WZIP 88.1 FM, the University of Akron
Saturday, January 21st & Saturday, February 18th – 10 PM - 2 AM

Come enjoy the live DJ, sledding contest, dizzy golf, giveaways, and more! $10 includes skate rental, putt-putt, and sled hill, one drink ticket, hot dog and chips. Open until 2 AM! Must be 18 or older (ID required).

Super Hero & Princess Weekend
Saturday, January 28th – Sunday, January 29th – 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Meet and greet your favorite superheroes or princesses. $12 wristband includes entry into the Akron Children’s Museum, skating, putt-putt, sledding, and your choice of Pancake Breakfast, Hot Dog Lunch, or Mac & Cheese Lunch.

FREE Skate Rental with Restaurant or Bar Receipt
All of January and February

The City of Akron and the Downtown Akron Partnership encourage visitors to have dinner and/or drinks at any of the 30 restaurants and bars in downtown Akron. Anyone who brings a receipt from a Downtown establishment to Lock 3 dated from this January or February will receive 1 free ice skating rental!
