
The City of Akron as well as the Summit County Dept of Building Standards will review all project being constructed with in the City of Akron.
Required at time of Submittal
- Apply for address through the Address Request Portal
- Summit County Dept. of Building Standards Application
- Full set of building plans
- Provide addressing certificate of all new dwellings
- Architectural
- Provide elevations of proposed structure
- Site Plan
- Show all utilities in Right-of-Way and on private property
- Show proposed utility connections (Sanitary, Water, Electric)
- Provide grading elevations and contours (include elevation of neighboring structures if there are any)
- Include Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (Silt fence is required and concrete wash out)
- Show all restoration that will be needed within the right-of-way
- Provide deposit for type of project
Required prior to issuance of Permits
- Performance Bond
- Will need to be in the amount of the estimated cost of work within the Right-of-Way or $10,000, whichever is larger
- City of Akron Contractor Registration
- W-9 Form (needed for City Finance Dept. to issue refund)
- List of Sub-Contractors that will be working on the project
- Homeowner Affidavit (Only if Property Owner is preforming work)
