Landfill
The city's landfill is closed. It ceased accepting waste on June 29, 2002. Post closure care operations are performed by Akron Regional Landfill, Inc., a subsidiary corporation of Waste Management. This section manages the operations contract and works with Akron Regional Landfill in maintaining compliance with landfill regulations.
