March is Women's History Month here in Akron and across the country! This month commemorates and celebrates the vital role of women in history. We'll be sharing stories of amazing women from Akron's past and present all month long on our social media channels so follow along!
Akron City Council also recently passed legislation declaring March Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month here in Akron to raise awareness about developmental disabilities in the local community and to recognize and celebrate the many individuals, families, agencies, and community partners that strive to give affected individuals the full benefits of citizenship.

Akron Launches Zencity Engagement Platform
The City recently launched Akron Engage, a new online platform to gather more community feedback on a wide variety of projects. The projects and programs currently available on the Engage platform include: Glass Recycling Program, Police Community Relations, E. Exchange St. Corridor Project, Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and Car Share Program, and City Flag. The projects will be updated and added to over time.
