Plant Tours
The City of Akron’s Water Plant offers plant tours and educational opportunities for schools and community groups upon request. The tour takes approximately 1 - 1 ½ hour, and is provided by plant staff.
The tour will focuses on the water treatment facility from the surface water intake to the finished water as it is sent out of the plant for customer use. Additional information on the history of Akron Water Supply from the 1900s to present day will also be included.
Akron Water Supply also gives tours of the watershed for schools and community groups who are interested. Please contact the watershed office by email at AkronWa[email protected] for more details or to request a program visit.
