Maurice ‘Mo’ Mayle began his career with the City of Akron in the Sewer Maintenance Division 17 ½ years ago as a Sewer Maintenance Worker. He has since been promoted to Sewer Service Worker a position he has held for almost nine years. In this position, Mo is part of the maintenance team, responsible for sewer cleaning, inlet cleaning, CSO rack inspection, and responding to a variety of customer concerns.
Mo is a very conscientious team member who cares about his work product, as well as his effort. He has developed good relationships with co-workers and the public of whom he serves. He is always available for emergency calls and is also on the City’s auxiliary list for snow and ice removal.
Outside of his normal 40-hour work week, Mo works another part-time job and also loves to fish, especially for perch and walleye. Mo has three daughters Aleata, Sharah, Brittnee and a young son he likes to call “Little Man.”
