Claims Commission

All claims against the City arising from injury or damage from alleged acts or omissions of the City in which the amount claimed is more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) shall be transmitted from the Claims Agent to the Claims Commission together with his/her investigation and recommendation.  The Claims Commission may, in its discretion, perform further investigation of the claim.  The Claims Commission may accept, reject, or modify the recommendation of the Claims Agent and shall make a final recommendation to the Director of Law who may accept, reject, or modify the recommendation.
