Board Of Control
Board of Control approves any expenditures that are more than $15,000 but less than $50,000. Expenditures over $50,000 must be approved by Akron City Council with few exceptions.
The Board of Control consists of: the Mayor, the Directors of Law, Finance, and Public Service, the President of Council, and the Chairman of the Finance Committee of Council or their designees.
No contract in excess of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) shall be awarded except upon the approval of the Board of Control.
