On behalf of the men and women of the City of Akron Police Department, welcome to our website.

Our employees strive to serve the community both efficiently and courteously.  Our  website is just one of the ways we are able to positively interact with the community.  Links to crime statistics, police reports, and various APD social media sources allow citizens to stay informed and involved.

Police Auction
The Akron Police Department and the Summit County Sheriff's Office are holding an auction of seized, forfeited, and unclaimed property on Saturday, September 19, 2015. The location of the auction is 1085 Sweitzer Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44301.
Doors are open for public viewing at 8:00 am. The auction starts at 9:00 am.
Terms are CASH ONLY and all sales are final to the highest bidder.
