The Recreation Bureau offers quality of life activities for all of our area residents – the young and young at heart!  We offer active adult activities, sports for kids and adults, programs and classes at all of our community centers, events for the whole family to enjoy, and opportunities to engage in your neighborhood.  Find out all we have to offer and get involved today!

Sign up for our Community Center Youth Basketball Program.  The program is open to girls and boys ages 8 - 17.  Games will be held at Mason Park Community Center and Helen Arnold Community Learning Center.  Practices will be held at the following community centers:  Ed Davis, Joy Park, Lawton Street, Mason Park, Patterson Park and Summit Lake.  Register in person at one of the participating community centers.

My Neighborhood, Our Akron City Council Neighborhood Grant Program Agreement was designed to empower residents to actively participate in improving their neighborhoods.  The grant program  encourages creative neighborhood efforts by providing small grants from $250 to $1,000 to neighborhood-based organizations.
