The City of Akron presents a new monthly event in downtown Akron at Lock 4 beginning May 19.  Third Thursdays, offered free to music-lovers every third Thursday of the month at 5 p.m., during the months of May through September.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy local entertainment, food trucks, and game - including a Corn Hole Tournaments sponsored by Miller Lite. Weekly winners can earn $200 each Thursday. Registration starts at 6 p.m. on a first come first serve basis and are limited to 16 teams. Cost is $20 per team and includes 4 drink tickets for soda or beer.

The first Third Thursday is this Thursday, May 19.  Jeff Klemm & The Letters will perform, and food truck vendors; Manna, Krav-Food-Truck and Southern Thangs will be featured.

Third Thursdays sponsors include; The Devil Strip, Miller Lite and Rubber City Radio.Lock 4 is an exciting space in Downtown Akron. Located off of Bowery Street and adjacent to Lock 3. The Lock 4 area is set against the rushing water of the Ohio-Erie Canal creating multiple waterfalls, which showcase the historic brick facades of some of the oldest and most interesting buildings in the city. Guest should truly enjoy the space’s distinct urban feel.

Guests may park in the Cascade Parking Garage, which provides direct access to Lock 4 from level two (orange). There are also entrances off Bowery Street and from Lock 3.
