Mayor Dan Horrigan will deliver his 2018 State of the City Address at the John S. Knight Center on February 28, 2018 during a luncheon hosted by the Akron Roundtable. The State of the City Address is an annual event where business, community, faith, non-profit and government leaders come together to hear the "state of the city" from Akron’s mayor. Partners for the event include the Akron Roundtable, the Greater Akron Chamber, Leadership Akron, the Rotary Club of Akron and Akron Kiwanis.

Mayor Horrigan’s address will highlight the accomplishments of the past year and focus on his vision and planned initiatives for 2018 and beyond. Mayor Horrigan is the 62nd Mayor of Akron and has built the foundation of his leadership around his commitment to improving the education, income, and health of Akron residents and implementing innovative, fiscally responsible and service-oriented policies that will enhance the efficiency and transparency of City operations.

Mayor Horrigan is proud to announce that, for the second consecutive year, the proceeds of the event will benefit the Russell M. Pry Memorial Scholarship at The University of Akron School of Law, in honor of Mayor Horrigan’s late friend and mentor, Summit County Executive Russ Pry.
