Annalisa S. WilliamsTHE HONORABLE ANNALISA S. WILLIAMS

Judge Annalisa S. Williams was elected to the Akron Municipal Court on November 4, 2003. Judge Williams is a former Assistant Director of Law, serving both the Criminal and Civil Divisions. She also served as a former Domestic Relations Referee.

Judge Williams is a 1974 graduate of Youngstown South High School. She received her Bachelors of Arts Degree with honors in Political Science from Kent State University in 1977. She moved to Akron in 1980 and received her Masters Degree in Urban Studies in 1980 and her Juris Doctor in 1984 from the University of Akron. She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1984.

Judge Williams is committed to the community. She served InfoLine, the Boys and Girls Club of Summit County, Summit County Child Abuse and Neglect Advisory Board, Summit County Social Services Advisory Board, Western Reserve Girl Scouts of America, the YWCA, Ohio Ballet and many other organizations. She is a life member of the NAACP and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
