City of Akron is now accepting artist applications for the 29th annual Akron Arts Expo
being held July 26th and 27th, at Hardesty Park (1615 W. Market Street).
This year over 160 artists will be juried into the show. Artists
will be accepted in the following categories: 2-dimensional art, 3-dimensional art,
functional craft, and ornamental craft. The deadline to register
is March 31, 2008. The registration fee will be $180 and is
nonrefundable after June 1, 2008. To request an application or

July 24, 2008 with the 3rd annual Taste of Akron from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.
On Friday, July 25, join us for the 10th annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction
from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Stick around Friday and Saturday night for
a special ballet performance beginning at 8:45 p.m. Admission is
FREE to all events except the Wine Tasting & Silent Auction fundraiser! The Akron Arts Expo is presented by the City of Akron and Time Warner
Cable.
