BEVERLY "BEV" BODNAR began her career with the City of Akron on August 18, 1970 as a Clerk Stenographer I in the Development Division of the Planning Department. In early 1984, she was promoted to an Account Clerk I and transferred to the Public Utilities Bureau. On December 24, 1984, she was promoted to an Account Clerk II. On August 25, 1986, BEV was promoted to an Account Clerk III and transferred to the Accounting Division in the Finance Department. On December 22, 1997, she attained her present position of Accounting Technician.

BEV is a very pleasant person who has an abundance of patience. She enjoys traveling, baking, canning, crocheting, and needlepoint on plastic canvas. She also enjoys going to the movies, gardening and sharing the harvest with her fellow coworkers.

BEV has been called the "Banner expert" at City Hall since Banner’s inception in 1997. She was instrumental in training most City employees on Banner, working many additional hours to complete her other job duties. She has basically been the "help desk" person for employees with questions or problems regarding Banner. In March 1998, BEV assumed payroll processing duties to insure payrolls are generated in a timely manner.

BEV processes all travels involving City of Akron employees, insuring compliance with policy. She is also responsible for City car mileage deductions and handles a majority of direct payments for the City of Akron.

BEV is a very conscientious employee always looking out for the citizens of Akron in the prudent use of their tax dollars.
