100 Day Tracker
Message from Mayor Malik:
The first 100 days of any administration help set the tone for the rest of the work to follow. During my mayoral transition process, I worked with our transition team and community stakeholders to develop my own 100 day plan, which includes some big goals for our new team to achieve.
Fast forward to now, I’ve started my new role as Mayor of Akron. We’re halfway through the first 100 days, and I’m really heartened by the progress we’re making. But it’s important to me that we share our work with you, and in so doing, hold ourselves accountable.
On this page, you’ll find our 100 Day Plan Tracker. Dozens of goals are listed below. With each, you’ll see a green checkbox where a goal is complete, a yellow arrow where a goal is in progress, and a blue square where our work on the goal is starting soon. Each week, we’ll update this page to show our progress.
The four main goals of the first 100 days are as follows:
1. Launch the Together for Akron Agenda
a. Safer Together – Public Safety
b. Working Together – Economic Development
c. Living Together – Health, Housing, and the Environment
d. Learning Together – Education
2. Build the Team
3. Modernize City Operations
4. Prioritize Communications and Public Engagement
Check out our tracker below to see more details. If you have a question, comment or concern please don't hesitate to reach out and let us know your thoughts – you can email me at Mayor@akronohio.gov or call in to our 311 hotline. Together, we will build a safer, stronger, and more equitable Akron.
-Mayor Shammas Malik
